Yea, I mean the vid in my OP shows a laser doing what I need (with pretty thick silicone). I have worked an Epilog, but the print shop never let me explore the laser with anything other than RTIC mugs. I was hoping someone has experience doing so with a Glowforge. I know Silicone has crazy high heat resistance, so I'm hoping it's powerful enough.

Tiling Large Engraving Jobs On The Glowforge - Allwine Designs
A big one for me is the inability to process a single large engraving job on the Glowforge. Photo of a pen and ink drawing by my Aunt that my Dad wanted to laser engrave for my Mom. When I first set up the Glowforge, I ran into this problem. I wanted to engrave a full 18” x 11” piece of plywood and it simply refused to do it.
Materials & Uses | Glowforge
Glowforge performs well with many materials 1/4 in (0.6 cm) and less on a single pass. It can accommodate material as thick as 1/2 in (1.2 cm), but may require multiple passes or flipping the material over. For engraving, you can remove the tray and insert objects as thick as 2 in (5 cm).
